AT LAST

ALL-WEATHER ROAD. AU CKL AND-WHAN GAREI. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. At a meeting of the A.A.A. last evening, Mr W. H. Wynyard, the motorists’ representative on the Main Highways Board, reported that an allweather, metalled road had been completed between Auckland and Whangarei. Mr Wynyard said metalling had been completed between Topuni and Kaiwaka, and pending further work being finished on the southern gap, the crossing of the Dome Valley had been obviated by the provision of a metal deviation via Kaipara Flats and Warkworth.

Although this portion Was classified as a fifth-class road, it had 'a good metalled surface and the association patrols had not reported having to as sist motorists in that area.
