MR GOODEELLOW’S GENEROSITY. (Special to “Northern Advocate. ”) i HAMILTON, This Day. It has just been disclosed that Mr W. Goodfcllow, managing director of. the Now Zealand Go-operative Dairy Company, has refused, since December last, to accept any remuneration for his services to the company on account of the depression. Although the attitude he adopted, when lie announced his intentions last November, did not meet with the approval of his fellow directors, they appreciated the sacrifice and the motive behind it. Mr Goodfcllow especially requested that no mention should be made of the matter outside of the company. The position is, therefore, that Mr ■ Goodfcllow, as managing director of a concern with a turnover of £(1,500,000, receives no TajSix months ago Mr Goodfcllow made a very sweeping reduction in mortgages held by him, and is said to be the first big man in New Zealand to do this.
