BURGLARY CHARGE
REMANDED IN CUSTODY. I I (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. Arrested yesterday, Summers Heruika Edwards, aged .‘{o, a one-armed man, appeared at the Police Court this morning ou a charge ci‘ breaking and entering; the house of Charles Frederick Smith, Merivale Avenue, Epsom, on March 27, and stealing a quantity of jewellery worth £.'l4 Ids (Id. On the application of Detective-Sergeant Kelly, Edwards was remanded until April Id. Counsel for Edwards applied for bail, but Mr. E. K. Hunt, S.M., refused the application.
