WEAKNESS AT AUCKLAND

After a very quiet spell, -there was a little business on the local Stock Exchange late yesterday afternoon, and a few additional sales were recorded at this morning’s call.
The market generally displayed a weak tone, though some linos, notably Mt. Lyells, Colonial Sugar, and Auckland Gas, continue steady. Latest biddings show Commercial Banks with sellers at 13/0. IST.Z. Insurance were quoted ex-dividends with buyers at £1 14/0. Buyers for •Farmers' Trading Company “A” preference dropped their otters to 10/0. Kempthorne, Prossers were a shade firmer, with buyers at £2 0/3. King Solomon Mines had buyers at T/-. At the 10 a.m. call the following sales were reported: X.Z. Insurance, ex dividend, £1 15/; Bank of X.Z. £2 2/9; Union Bank, £0 12/; Inscribed Loan, 1933, 51 per cent, (late call) £99 15/-.
