HOLIDAY MAKER EXPIRES
POPULAR PAKOTAI TEACHER. SUDDEN' FATAL ILLNESS. Mr Henry George (Jack) Alder, tcaclier of 'the half-time schools at Opouteko (Pakotai) Okahahara, and residing at the former place, when on holiday with his wife at Parua Bray, camping near the old butter factory site, became suddenly ill about 10 o’clock last night hud ex-, pired half an hour later. Although! Mr Alder had been receiving occasional medical attendance previously, there was nothing to indicate the serious and sudden climax, which brought consternation and acute dis-{ tress to Mrs Alder and numerous! friends, the deceased gentleman hav-J ing won much deserved popularity by j his gracious disposition. I Mr Alder was born in London, where | his father was an Excise Officer, about 44 years ago, and spent some time in South Africa before coming to Now Zealand, taking up the teaching profession in ‘this country some Id or 10 years ago.
