£20,000,000 ISSUE

(Received 8.38 a.m.) NEW YORK, October 3

The “Herald-Tribune’s” financial editor states that arrangements have been virtually completed for a £20,000,000 loan for Canada in the local market, which is the largest offering for the year. A banking group, headed by the Chase Securities Corporation, will underwrite the issue at 4 per cent, for 30 years, which will be offered at a figure which will yield the investor 4.4 to 4.6 per cent.

The proceeds of the loan arc for a 1930-1031 refunding operation. The Canadian Government believes that the issue will be sold only in Aew Yorii and Canada.
