British Week will conclude this evening at the new Regent Theatre with the final screenings of the two British films from Elstree viz., “Harmony Heaven” and tho “Hate Ship.” Both those productions are- outstanding in all departments. The enunciation is very clear, the tracking lavish and the photography and colonring, especially in. the first-named picture, of more than ordinary merit. The New Zealand pianist, Mr Ivan Perrin, will again render delightful music on a Barnard recording piano and his renditions will be enhanced by the vocal solos of Mrs Perrin.

A pleasant surprise .awaits the ■en-tertainment-loving .sea-lion of' the public In the near future. The Whangaroi Town Hall lias been booked for October 21 and 22 when a brilliant .and charming spectacle will be staged in the form of a dance revue by the pupils of the Misses Somerville, the well-known local dancing teachers. Rather a. unique title has been chosen for the presentation, wlrieli will be known as “The Peep Show,” and by all accounts a real feast of delightful numbers, all entirely new and above all, wonderfully effective,

will, constitute the programme. Imagine over 100 pupils, adults and children, participating in this revue and! not one single item being likened to another. Since last year’s recital, the -Misses Somerville have travelled extensively to add to their already varied repertoire of dance numbers and as a result Whangarei audiences will no doubt fully appreciate the introduction of many new and bright creations to the local stage.
