POINTS WORTH REMEMBERING

After peeling onions, or dealing with any food which leaves a strong smell, wash your hands in a mixture of mustard and water; it will remove the unpleasant odour.
If an oil lamp overturns and the nil bursts into flames, sprinkle sand or flour quickly over it. Thus you may prevent a serious tire.
■Remember that a .suspicion of cinnamon improves a cup pf chocolate, but do not overpower the chocolate flavour with it. # • • V When mixing a cake use a wooden spoon. A metal spoon will discolour the mixture. When baking bread or roils have a basin of boiling wat'ffr in the oven; this keeps the crusts tender, *_* ♦ m Drop a lump of sugar into the, pan when cooking turnips; it their flavour. *
