WHANGAREI JERSEY CLUB
SALE OP BULLS,
Messrs Wright Stephenson and Coy., Ltd., report having participated in the sale of Jersey hulls conducted on Tuesday under tire auspices of the Whnngarei Jersey Breeders’ Club. Considering the present uncertain outlook of the dairy produce- market, the. prices realised were quite- -saitsfaetory, and wo were -able to .sell the majority of the bulls entrusted to our care.
Mir C. E. Robertson, of Wellington, the manager of the* firm’s extensive staid stock department, officiated as auctioneer.
The success of the sale as a whole was materially affected by the very indifferent condition of many of the. entries brought forward, and for future sales it is. the intention of the club to institute a. classification pcheme before accepting entries, and on ensure that the standard of the sale will be raised to a high level. Top price for the sale was 45 guineas for the 7-year proven bull Nick Mali one offered by Mr G, 8. B. Morrison and sold to Air R. Mattocks of Dargaville. The other -sales effected were:—
