WELLINGTON, Thursday

Ills Excellency, the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Bledisloe, today opened the first Dominion Conference of Women’s Institutes held in New Zealand.

In a comprehensive address he boro testimony to the work being accomplished throughout' the Empire by the Institute movement, and recounted activities in England with which ho was conversant.
