UNAUTHORISED PUBLICATION. PENALTY IMPOSED. (Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 7. The publisher of the “Western Times,” Bathurst, was fined £1 for publishing 1 portion of a broadcasting programme without the consent of the station concerned. This .is the first case of the hind in the Commonwealth under the Wireless Telegraphy Act. The charge related to a Moore field race result, which the Telegraph Department ascertained had not been transmitted by telephone and therefore must have been obtained from the wireless.
