SHOPS AND OFFICES ACT
COMMITTEE HEARS EVIDENCE. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WE LI-TNG TON. This Day. The committee set up to investigate the operations of the Shops and Offices Act commenced the hearing of ■evidence at Wellington yesterday, when representatives of several local commercial firms were heard. Further evidence will be beard today and tomorrow. The 'committee will then proceed to Dunedin. The balance of the Wellington evidence will be taken after the committee has sat in other centres.
