CRUISING CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. , At a meeting of the Committee of the W|iaingarei Cruising Club, over which Mr W. Reynolds, the commodore, presided, several matters in connection with the coming New Year’s Day regatta were discussed. A 22ft New Zealand, championship is to be introduced at this event. Sub-committees are in charge of securing entries for the yacht .and launch races at the regatta. TAURIKUR-A DANCE. The dance held in the Taurikura Hal! on Saturday proved to be another big success, and there was a large attendance. During the evening Mr W. Reynolds expressed the club’s thanks to those who had assisted in any way to make the dance so satisfactory, including Mesdames F. Reynolds, Weston and Bowden. Mr Reynolds extended greetings for Christmas and New Year to all those'present, and announced that another dance would be held on ,1 date in January or early February, to be decided upon later. ,
