TOXEUMA GOES WELL, (Special to “Northern Advocate.’’) AUCKLAND, This Day. Rain fell overnight, but the ■weather, chough dull, was fine when training work commenced at Ellerslie this morning. With the exception of one heavy shower, about 6.30 o’clock, it remained so. The course proper, with the poles about 35 feet out from the rails, was available for fast work. The No. 3 grass track, the sand and the tan were also used a little. The going was good, though somewhat dead and lure were some interesting gallops. ■Several Cup candidates were opt and those that pleased most were Corinax, Prodiee and k Paquito. COURSE PROPER. Gold Money jumped away from the five furlong post, running the first two furlongs in 25 and the full distance in 1.5.
