WELL-PLANNED ROBBERY

EMPLOYEES’ PAY TAKEN. (Per Press Association.—Oopyrlgnt.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A daring well-planned robbery took place at the- office of Messrs Hathc-r----loy Bros., 58 Salisbury Street, Christchurch, between noon and one p.m. yesterday. The firm is one of the biggest plastering businesses in Christchurch and lost about £270 in cash through the theft. Most of the money had been made up into pay envelopes for the -employees.

The thief apparently broke into the office during lunch hour, opened the desk in which were the pay envelopes, and absconded.
