CALLOUS DESPERADOS

YOUNG BROTHERS HANGED. (Received 11.28 a.m.) MONTREAL, December 20. Two brothers, Norman and Lawrence Menard, both under 20 years of age, were hanged together at Bordeaux Jail today for the murder of John Durham, a cashier, in an attempted hold-up during the 'blizzard in February. At the trial both youths were impudent and defiant. By a coincidence, the hangings took place during a snowstorm. Both had previously served sentences for holdups.
