In the next over, Allom skittled Newman’s wickets and four Wickets wore down for 75. Allom then had three wickets for six runs off eight overs. Eden and Jenkins came to light with a bright partnership of 58 for the fifth i wicket, Duleepsinhji proving expensive. In one over, Eden hit two fours, a sixer and another four off consecutive balls from the Indian, 19 coming off th’o over. Eden made 30 in 30 minutes and 100 runs were made in 110 minutes.
