CABINET’S DECISION TERMS ACCEPTABLE. i • DELEGATES TO MEET TODAY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received 8.17 a.xn.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Premier, Mr T. E. Bavin, announced after a Cabinet meeting yesterday that preparations are almost complete for opening the Eothbury colliery on terms which the miners ’ leaders have advised the men to accept. Steps are also being taken to secure the opening of other mines. The delegates of all miners’ lodges meet at Newcastle today to formulate a policy for continuance of the strike, in accordance with the resolutions passed at aggregate meetings. POLICE TO BE ON HAND. DOLE TO BE CUT OFF. HEWING STARTS NEXT WEEK. (Received 11.18 a.in.) SYDNEY, This Day. Before the Eothbury colliery is opened by the Government a police camp will be established adjacent to the mine. !Arrangements are also being made to enable the miners to live in tents. Similar plans apply to two or three other collieries. The Eothbury miners who decline to work under the terms recommended by the union leaders will be refused the dole by the Government. The same course will ibe followed with other mines as the Government takes them over. Cabinet intends to man the Rothbnry mine forthwith and it ig expected that coal hewing will start early next week.
