NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day

When attempting to take off for Auckland from the Bell Block Aerodrome, the Auckland Aero Club’s aeroplane, Longeron, piloted by Capt. Dickson with Capt. Harkness as a passenger, w’as smashed, and taken back to the hangar.

The Longeron had previously been broken in Auckland. The machine will remain there until repairs are effected. The airmen left for Auckland by ear.
