Greenaway was scratched. Won by a length. Time—2.3s J. Ashley Handicap, of 300 sovs; one mile.—(B) The Bailiff 7.0, 1; (1) Make Up 7.2, 2; (5) Star Shooter 8.2, 3. Austerity, Taurua and Sapient were scratched. Won by half a head. Time —1.40.

Avon Handicap, of 350 so vs; seven furlongs.—(B) Caterpillar 7.10, 1; (7) Keddar 8.12, 2; (4) Night Lad 8.5, 3. All started. Distances between placed horses arid time of race not telegraphed.
