It is stated that close investigation of the rolls for Eden —Monaro used at the recent Federal elections has revealed an amazing state of affairs, and the allegation of “roll stuffing” has been made. Further inquiries are being

carried out. The contest in this electorate was one of the keenest in the Commonwealth, ■ On the first count Mr Perkins (Nationalist) was leading, when it was diseqvored that some informal votes had boon credited to him. Two check counis were made, and Mr Cusack (Labour) was returned with a majority of 40.
