The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cablegram from its London office, dated August 16, advising Smithfield delivered prices averaged for the week ended that date as follows: — Now Zealand Wethers and Maidens. —Canterbury quality, soleded brands, fiGib and under, fikl pel lb; 571 bto 64-lb, 6d; 651 bto 72 lb, sgd. Other brands, 561 b and under, 6fpl; 571 b to 641 b, dpi; 651 b to 721 b, skl.

Lamb Market. —Romo prices have declined slightly, but generally the market is quiet and unchanged.
Mutton Market.—There is better inquiry for heavyweight wethers, and the demand for heavyweight ewes has also slightly improved. New Zealand Porker Pigs.—Nominal prices. New Zealand Baconer Pigs.—Quiet.
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business week:— There is a bettor inquiry for wethers. The reduction in price of ewes has improved the demand. There is a fair demand for lambs, and a good demand for beef. Wethers, light, s|d to per lb; heavy, 5d to 53d; ewes, 4|d to sd; lambs, twos, Sid to Od; eights, 7fid to 8-|d; fours, 73d to Sd; seconds, 8d to Bid; ox hinds, 53 d to 51d; fores, 3HI to 3-3 d; cow hinds, 4fd to sd; fores, 3id to 3-|d.
DAIRY PRODUCE. Th'e New, Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office, dated August 16: — Butter. —New Zealand: Salted, 160/ to 172/; unsalted, 168/ to 172/; first whey, 158/; .second whey. 156/. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 740 tons; in store, iS2OO tons; 160/ to 172/ equals approximately 1/41 f.o.b. Australian: iSalted, 162/ to .167/. Argentine: Unsalted, .160/ to 164/, up to 166/. Irish Creamery: Salted, 163/ to 164/; unsalted, 165/ to 166/, Danish: f.0.b., 166/; spot, 172/. Dutch; Unsalted, 166/ to 170/. Esthonian: 162/. Latvian: 162/, Siberian: 154/; unsalted, 156/. Canadian: White, 100/ to 108/;' coloured, 100/ to 104/. New season’s: White, 80/ to 88/; coloured, 80/ to 00/, c.i.f., SO/. Eng l lish: Finest farmers, 04/ to 100/. Market firm. Retail prices unchanged. The Ruapehu commenced to discharge cheese on August 12 and finished on August 18. She commoneed to discharge butter on August 15. The Port Nicholson commenced to discharge (butter and cheese on August 13 and finished on August 15. The Port Auckland commenced to discharge cheese on August 14 and the Corinthic commenced to discharge butter on August 15,
The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: —Butter: New York, 42?, cents (1/92); Montreal, 372 cents (1/65).
