BUND SOLDIER EVANGELIST
The Blind Soldier Evangelist, Mrj Andrew Johnston, of the N.Z. Bible I Training Institute, commenced a series j of meetings in the Baptist Church, on! Bnnday. Good congregations assembled at thoth services, and were much impressed bv the messages delivered, Air Johnston’s message at the morning service was taken from the Life of'Daniel, and was a direct appeal to hearers to present themselves as a living sacrifice to God. In the evening he took his text from John 5: (5, speaking on the question ‘‘Wilt Thou be 'Made Whole?” People today-were seeking life. True life which satisfies could only be found in Christ. That life was available to all men who were prepared to.fulfil the conditions laid down by the Gaviour. Mr Johnston illustrated his address with many telling incidents from his own life and from his war experiences. Mrs Johnston ably supported the preacher with a very fine solo.. The meetings will bo continued each evening tills week >at 7.30.
