PERSONAL
Air G. C. Black, M.P. for Motueka, has been elected chairman of the Goldfields and Alines Committee, of which he was clerk for five years before being elected to Parliament. Mr Black is the youngest, member of Parliament, being twenty-six years of age. This is the first occasion in the history of the New Zealand Parliament on which a former clerk to a committee has become its chairman.
