After attending a function at the Officers’ Glut), in honour of the officers of the French cruiser, Charles Stanley Clark was found in his ear asleep in an intoxicated condition and, with another man also under the influence, was arrested.

It was explained in Court that Clark had realised he was not in a condition to drive and had therefore decided to rest in the ear, but had fallen aalcep. The Magistrate- thought a fine would meet the case, and Clark is to pay £2O.
