SANGUINARY SAVAGERY SHOOTING AND SLASHING.
TERRIBLE WOUNDS' INFLICTED.

Two men wore shot, and Bruce, Donbloday and Higgs, well known, in connection with the Mountains murder case, were terribly slashed about the face early this morning in a sensational underworld affray.
A young woman sustained a. cut hand and two other men were also injured, one nearly losing an eye in the battle, which the police believe was staged at Darlinghurst. The police know nothing of the affair, and the victims refuse to speak. Shortly'after midnight four men and a woman visited the hospital. Two of tbPi wounded men refused treatment. The other two and the woman were treated for cuts.
The police found signs of a battle l at Darlinghurst, where huge pieces of stone were lying in the roadway saturated with blood.
