A good deal of interest was taken in the sale (at the Olntlia auction rooms) of the “Clutha Leader' :
newspaper and publishing business, wiith which that of the “Eroe Press" was consolidated ■about three years ago. The attendance of the public was fairly large. Bidding started at. £4OOO and continued by at .first £IOO and then £o() bids, to £(SSOO, when the properly was knocked down to a representative of a local syndicate.
