MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING.

The Management Committee of tlfc Whangarei Rugby Union met on 'Tuesday evening, Mr C. F. Collins .presiding over an attendance of Messrs Malloy, Cona.ghan, Bowden, Moresby, O’Shea, Macken, Powell, Thorpe, and the secretary, Mr.R. Worner. The applications of C. Finlayson, of the Hora. Horn junior club, and F. McXaughton, of the Maungakaramea junior club, .for clearance to the Onerahi Club were granted, subject to the approval of their respective clubs.

It was decided to send letters of appreciation to Messrs -Rika and ’Waterman on their selection in the All Blacks team for the forthcoming Australian tour.

A vote of appreciation was extended to Mr C, Malloy for securing a fine set of medals for the winners of the primary school competition at the seven-a-side tournament on June ?>. Banks were granted permission to use Eugby Park on June 13 for a. match against the Public .Service, and if a gate is taken 10 per cent, is to be paid to the union. The matter of the commencement of the fourth grade competition was lefl in the hands of Mr Macken, After a long discussion in committee, the cases of 0. Kerr and Doe), who i wore ordered off the field on Saturday, |were disposed bf. | (In answer to an inquiry as to the I issue of the Kerr and Doel cases, the 1 chairtnnh of the Rugby Pnioh stated that .the Executive Corhrtuttee had decided to “keep the ruling to themselves” and not to permit its publication.)
