THE WEATHER
STORMY AND HEAVY RAIN. The Weather Bureau has issued the following forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: 'The indications are for westerly winds strong to gale, at times reaching a heavy gale, and backing by west to south. Stormy weather with rain is to be expected, and at places the rain will bo heavy. The weather will probably become very cold. The barometer is unsteady, hut soon it may be expected to rise. Reas rough and tides good.
