labourer killed by train.
(Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. William Daniel, aged 50, a wharf labourer, was killed at a Petone railway crossing when he was struck by the 9.45 o’clock train from Petone. The warning signals were working and the train whistles sounding, but he did not appear to, be aware of the approach of the train. Deceased was single and believed to be a native of England.
