SHOPLIFTING
MARRIED WOMAN FINED.

WELLINGTON, This Day.
A married woman, Beatrice Higgins, aged 37,-was fined £ls today, in default two months’ gaol, for shoplifting, having taken articles, mainly worn on’s apparel, from Messrs C. Smith’s Ltd. to the value of £lO 17/6. She was described as living happily with husband and the mother of two children. She had given trouble to the family owing to drink, but had not previously shown dishonesty.
