AMUSEMENTS

EPIC OF THE AIR. A EEAIARKABLE PICTURE. OPENS TONIGHT. ‘'The Legion of the Condemned." which screens at the Lyceum tonight is the greatest aviation picture made, except “Wings,” to which it is a companion. It is a story of a youth, disappointed in love, seeking death in daring exploits, being staggered awake by discovering that his girl had not deceived him, and now wanting to live. “The Legion of the Condemned” was formed in the shadow of Verdun by men who wanted to die. They felt .that fighting personal duels in the air, and meeting death eventually, was the only honourable way to expiate their sins. There -is a special matinee at the Lyceum on j Thursday at 2, and this big attraction will also screen in the Town Hall on 1 Thursday and Friday nights. |
