MR EMERSON BOWES,
(Per Press Association.—Copyright.) OHRISTCHUR-OH, This Day. The death has occurred -of Mr Emerson Bowes, aged 73 years. Deceased was a prominent sheep buyer, auctioneer and owner of trotting horses.
MR A. W. WINTER
(Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The death is announced of Mr A. W. Winter, aged 76 years. For 40 years deceased was on the staff of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and was well known in Dominion shipping circles.
MR J. M. BUTT
(Per Press Association. —Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day,
The death occurred yesterday of Mr J. M. Butt, -aged 83, for many years connected with tho Bank of Nett Zealand.
He was a son of the late Archdeacon Butt, who came to New Zealand as surgeon to Bishop Selwyn’s Mission ( subsequently taking Holy Orders. Deceased was born at Nelson in 1845. For a time the late Mr Butt was in Fiji and later wms Government Auditor for Australasia of the Bank of New Zealand.
