JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SUED

A Yokohama tailor lias instituted a suit against the Government for (100,000,000 yen in respect of a depos.it of 40 years ago made with the object, of purchasing an extensive tract of laud which the Government failed to return. The Tokio Court is amazed at the claim and asserts that there is insufficient cash in the national treasury to meet it. However, inquiries are being made.
