KENSINGTON CROQUET CLUB
TROPHIES PRESENTED, A very pleasant, afternoon was spent last Thursday by the members of the Kensington Croquet Club, when, owing'to the bad weather, the official elosilng took place at Mrs Tibhits’ residence, Hnapai Street. Bridge and five hundred wore played, and a dainty afternoon tea served.
Mrs Tihbits, vice-president, in the j absence of Aim Mauri or, the president, who was unable to attend owing to sickness, presented the prizes won during the season. Mrs Johnson, I Kamo, was the winner of the A j championship, trophy presented by j Mrs F. Hayward; Mrs Tibbits, runj ner-up A championship, trophy presented by Mrs Steadman; Mrs Husj ton, winner of the B championship, j trophy presented hv Mrs F. Hayward; Airs Gibson, runner-up B (championship, trophy presented by J Mrs Afaurer. The prizes for -the afterj noon were won by Airs .Sword j (bridge) and Airs Gibson (five hunjdred).
A hearty vote of thanks to Mrs Tibhits for ihe use of her home brought, the afternoon to a close.
