John Edward Fitzgerald, a motor salesman, aged 46, who collided with a telegraph pole, was today fined £2O and had his license cancelled for being drunk in charge of a car. Defendant, who is a widower with 12 children, was forbidden to -obtain another license till 12 months after the expiry of the present one. ANOTHER CASE. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. At the Police Court, John Charles Paget, a blacksmith, was fined £25 and had his license suspended for one year for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. The evidence showed that when accused was returning from the races ho narrowly missed colliding with two other ears.
