(From Our Own /Correspondent.) Last week' the Kail committee held One of its monthly dances in the Hall. Many people were present from Whangarei, Hikurangi And "surrounding districts. Mr C, Fyfe made a capable Master of CefenVbilies. Barry’s Ofehestra pUpblied excellent' nnisie, which Was greatly enjoyed. ExtVas 'were played by ‘Mdsdafnes Hiftzel and Billihgton. ‘During the ev'ening a dainty supper was handed round by the ladies’ 'committee. A niceting was : held in the hall for the' purpose of electing a new hall eoniniittce. Messrs Eigden, Meßreen, A. ’Brown, C. Fyfe and Lacassie were elected. Mr ’Eigden was appointed chairman -and Mr Meßreen secretary. Mr Allen Belt addressed a fair attendance of electors in the Mania Hall last Tuesday. Mrs McLennan of family, of Morrihsville, have been visiting Marua and were the guests of Mrs McLennan’s sister, Mrs Low. Mr J. P. 'Harrison is away in Taranaki, visiting his father, who is seriously ill. . Mr Blake, Inspector of Schools, visited the loe’al school'this ‘week.
