THREE PEOPLE SHOT. MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR, ASSAILANT GETS CLEAR. (Australian Press Association.) (Received .10.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Three people, Percival Coffey, aged 11, with a bullet wound im the hack; Miss Ester Patchott, aged 45, witli a bullet -wound in the right, thigh, and Miriam Coffey, aged 18 with a bullet wound in the neck, wore shot while sitting on the verandah of a house in Lower Pern Tree Gully.
The house is surrounded by thick scrub, of which a thorough search was made. Six shots were filed altogether.
