CENTRE NORTH OF WHANOAEEI,
HEAVY WEATHER EXPECTED. t ' CLIMAX ON FRIDAY. [„ r , (Special to “Northern Advocate.’!) Auckland, This Day. The following weather forecast for the 24 hours from 7 a.m, today was supplied by Mr H. M. Vincent last evening:— Cloudy and overcast: weather is indicated with extreme humidity and rain generally. Expect very heavy and torrential rains in the North Auckland and Waikato districts, also places near the East Coast of the North Island, with, rivers rising rapidly. Thunderstorms are likely in the north, with northerly to north-easter-ly winds, strong to a heavy gale. An intense cyclone is now approaching New Zealand and the centre is expected -to pass through the North Island, resulting in. weather conditions of an exceptionally stormy nature. Vef y heavy seas on. the nonth-west Tasman Sea and along the East Coast, especially northward from Whangarei, The storm is likely to reach its climax about Friday. Expect very low barometric pressure. A warning to shipping navigating the following areas is issued: All the northern, central and eastern Tasman Sea area between Norfolk Island and Cape Maria and off the East Coast of the North. Island.
