STARTLING RISE
IMPERIAL TOBACCO SHARES. DIVIDEND OF 20 PER CENT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 22. A sensational rise in the Imperial Tobacco Company's £1 shares from 127/ to 130/ followed the announcement of a dividend of 26 per cent, and the distribution of one free share for every four held on today’s market. The valuation of the company'4 ordinary capital is now Worth over £200,000,000.
