CORRUPT POLICE FORCE
MISERABLE PAY ACCOUNTABLE. , (Australian Press Association.) (Received 9 a.m.) CALCUTTA, December 15. Giving evidence before the Simon Commission, Patna 'Swain, InspectorGeneral of Police at Bihar, Orissa Province, said , that 99 per cent of constables, 75 per cent of head constables and 50 per cent of sub-inspec-tors at Bihar were corrupt, their low moral standard being attributable to the miserable pay of the force, which ivas less than that of unskilled laboiirers.
