In the course of their honeymoon trip, Captain -Maurice Buckley and Mrs Buckley arrived from Fo tiding yesterday afternoon in an Avro-Avian machine lent for 1 »]ic occasion by CaptaiTi Ken Hall, oif 'Hororata. ‘ Flying conditions wore perfect. After clearing Feilding Captain Buckley handed over the controls to his bride, who flew the -machine all the way to Blenheim, thus achieving the distinction of being the first woman to pilot a plane across Cook Strait. The young couple wore warmly welcomed to Blenheim and took off for -Christchurch amid showers of confetti.
