(Special to “Northern Advocate.’’) AUCKLAND, This Day. For the Takapuna final gallops the weather was good today and at Ellerslie the course proper and the No. 2 grass were available for fast work. Both were in fine order. On the course proper, (40 yards out) Corinax, Golden Wedding and Lomint wore sent out for seven furlongs, but the last named got left. The others jumped off smartly, running the first furlong in 12 1-5 and the full journey in 1.31 3-5 —a good gallop.
Brampton and Pekatahi ran the last half mile of their work in 56 .1-5.
ißombardor defeated Red Lion over a similar distance in 51 1-5. ‘Vallar was in front of Palmares ever five furlongs in 3.6 4-5.
Norva.l Tea boat Critique over a similar journey in 3.6 2-5. Lady’s Boy was too good for Bornice over four furlongs in 52 2-5,
NO. 2 GRASS
Gold Money beat Eager Bose dver three furlongs in 37 3-s—a good, effort. Respirator galloped four furlongs in 53 3-5.
King Emerald abd Avoneourt completed five furlongs in 1.3 2-5 and fiuished on terms. • Sir Archie and Spear Dance left four furlongs behind in 52 1-5, ' , The Lover and The Thorn accomplished a similar task in 51. Thm’sby and War Officer galloped four furlongs in 51. i Te Money beat Zane Grey over six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. Winsome Boy took 1.18 3-5 for the same journey. Sir Mond beat Mangaiti over four furlongs in 50 3-5, Millais sprinted five furlongs in 1.3 1-5, the last four taking 49 3-3. Hyde Park ran six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. Lord Abbey beat Lueklaine over six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. Bizarro was in front of Roman Pearl and Diamond Queen at the end of live furlongs which occupied 1.4 3-5. Lido took 1.5 for the same journey. Good Boy ran a smart five in 1.3 1-3. Te Atiawa beat Miss Mercia over four furlongs in 54,
Plying Juliet easily ran Home from the five furlongs post in 1.7 1-5.
Tea Time beat Leitrim over five furlongs in 1.4 —a good gallop. Jolie Money ran four furlongs in 53 2-5.
Storm Piend was clocked to go four furlongs in 53 from the barrier. Nancy Lee, looking well, went five furlongs in I.G 2-5.
Transformer worked over six fur longs, the last four taking 54 4-5.
Sea town was ahead of Sea Star over five furlongs in 1,8 1-5. Prom a dead stand Cymon ran three furlongs in 38 2-5.
Aussie, Awarero and Prodice arrived late this morning.
