THE NEW FORD

SURPRISE TO MOTOR WORLD

Possibly the greatest surprise at the Show, to those persons who have not already seen it, is the New Ford. For many years one has been accustomed to think of the Ford as a “Tin Lizzie’’ and the gracious appearance and easily apparent excellence of the new product of the Ford factories at once attracts the attention of everyone.

The Whamgarei Engineering Company has a remarkably fine exhibit* which includes a full range of the New Eord models and a handsome Pontiac Six of the new series. The Ford exhibit is comprised of a Tourer, Coupe, Tudor and Fordor,. Sedans, a Roadster and a light delivery van. All that engineers have- learned, all that millions of owners have experienced in nearly a quarter of a century,, have made possible this car, which, is today ns far ahead of its time as was the famous Model T in 1908. This entirely new car surpasses the accepted standards of light car accomplishment; sweeps aside all boundaries of price class; establishes a new standard of acceleration, speed, power and smoothness that heretofore has marked only expensive cars as fine cars. Yet the incomparable Ford genius for precision in large scale production puts this car within the reach of every purse. The skillful body design of the new Phaeton stresses every inch of this model’s length. Its loav lines suggest speed and stability. iSeat cushions are built for adequate leg support and back cushions are moulded for the body. Heavy, clear vision storm curtains give complete protection from inclement weather. Of lessor seating capacity, the new Roadster embodies all the high grade perfections of the Phaeton Tourer. The price, £195, places either of these handsome models within the purse limitations of almost anyone. The new Coupe, and the new Sports Coupe, at £260, the former carrying three and the latter four passengers, are of irresistible appeal to those who favour a smart model, dignified, rich in colour and fully equipped.

The ii (mv Tudor Sedan, at £245, is a beautiful model precisely built and painstakingly tested. All appointments are in keeping with the ear's mechanical excellence. If the purchaser prefers a more' formal note, the Fordor Sedan, will meet all requirements. ' Burnished radiator shell, acorn head lamps, and shapely door handles set off the rich body finish. Silvered instrument panel, dome light, silk rear window shade, and other interior appointments add a refined elegance to this model. The remarkable innovations in internal mechanism and general construction of these new models will .be cheerfully explained by the Whangarei Engineering Company, who are agents for the district.

See the Pontiac line, produced in New Zealand. A study of the new series Pontiac Six, as cars offering the utmost in value, in performance, luxury and comfort —then study them as products of New Zealand, the result of an enterprise which is a vital facto r to the economic stability of our i-muitiy, and the purchaser's choice must surely be —if ho requires a first class car of the higher grade—a new series Pontiac Six. An inquiry made at the Whangarei Engineering Company’s office will elicit full details of this fipe car—superlative in value and appearance. 33b
