SYDNEY, This Day,
The Elections Amendment Bill passed its first reading in the Assembly. It provides for compulsory preferential voting. New South Wales will be divided into three parts, Sydney, Newcastle arid country areas, having 43, 5, and 42 electoral districts respectively. Use of joint Federal and State rolls is proposed. ,
