POLITICAL SITUATION
REFORM PARTY CAUCUS,
CONFIDENCE IN AIR COATES,

A caucus of the Reform Party was held today, when 27 out of 29 were .present, those absent being Mr Kyle, who is judging at a show, and Air Tau Henaro, who was unable to make the train connection, both apologising. Also present were Messrs Anderson, Weston, AlcLeod and Hockley. The following resolution was passpasod: “We members of the Reform Party in Parliament affirm our continued confidence in the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates as loader of the party, and our determination to stand loyally with him in whatever course the exigencies of the present political situation may render necessary in the interests of the Dominion as the whole, which the party, as in the past, places before all other considerations.” 5
The caucus will inoet again this afternoon.
