ABSTENTION POLICY

GERMAN BOURGEIOSE

COMMUNIST CASE STRENGTHENED. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, November 20. The Berlin correspondent of the “Morning Post” states that Dr. Stresemann, addressing the People’s Party, strongly objected to the suggestion that the Socialists should shoulder the sole responsibility of government because they were victorious at the elections. If the bonrgCtnse parties refused to eo-opei’-ate they would be to blame if the Communists were strengthened. The bourgeoise parties should foster the moderate elements of Socialism, which were ready to co-operate with the People’s Party. This would be a marriage of reason.
