SPRING SHOW

COMMENCES TOMORROW,

SPLENDID EXHIBITION.

Arrangements for the Whangarei Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Spring Show were completed today. The exhibition, which opens tomorrow promises to rank amongst the most successful the Society has ever conducted and is calculated to set several new standards. The general entries are exceedingly gratifying, all stock sections being strongly represented. The inside show of flowers, pot plants, bouquets etc., has received excellent support and will present an outstanding feature. The issue of liberal concession tickets by the Railways Department should prove a big factor in increasing the attendance, as many from outside districts will accept the opportunity of combining business with pleasure ; during the show period. Other features include the many attractive’trade displays and numerous side shows, which all go to make the event pleasant and interesting. The Whangarei Municipal Band will be in attendance and will render a selected musical programme.

As in former years the catering arrangements will be in the capable hands of the Whangarei Y.W.C.A. ladies and a plentiful supply of refreshments will be available at all hours during the two days. All that is necessary to assure- success Of a marked degree is fine weather and whole-hearted public patronage.
