MANAWATU RACING CLUB. NEW TRACK'S AT AWAPUNI. (Per Press Association.—-Copyright.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. The 'Manawatn Racing Club threw open to trainers on Saturday three new grass tracks, which have taken over two years to complete. The occasion was marked by one of the club president’s (Mr C. Louisson) horses being the first to gallop thereon. The addition gives the club seven grass gallops, apart .from the plough and sand tracks, and should meet the requirements of a. hundred or more horses in training at the local centre. The cost of preparation of the new tracks is estimated at £2500, considerable extra work having been entailed as .the result of trenches made by trainees in camp at Awapuni in war time. ENGLISH RACING. SAR ACEN WINS NO VEMBER. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 8.28 a.m.) LONDON, November 24. At Manchester, the November Handicap resulted: —Saracen, 1; Nor’ west, 2; Nestorian 3. Twenty started. Won by a length and a half; five .lengths between second and third horses. LORD DERBY WINS £05,000. RICHARDS AGAIN BEST JOCKEY. (United Service.) (Received 10.44 a.m.) LONDON, November 25. Stephen Douoghue rode the last big race winner of the season on Saracen, which achieved his first important victory. Ho cost his owner 12,000 guineas as a yearling.

Lord Derby, the leading owner, won £(55,000. Mr Sol .Joel was second with £25,000. The Aga Khan and Sir Hugo Cunlilfe-Owen won over £20,000 each.

Stanley Wootton was the most successful trainer, with 90 races and £25,000 in. stakes. I?iehards was champion jockey for the third lime, riding 149 winners.
