.SYDNEY, This Day. The concluding games in the tennis contest resulted as follows: — Collins (England) beat Kalins: <l—l, 4 — 6, 6—2.
In the doubles, Crawford and Hoprnan beat Gregory and Austin (England): 4 —6, 6 —l, 6—l, 6 3. Grand total: New South Wales, five rubbers, 15 sets, 126 games; Britain, three rubbers, 10 sets, 114 games.

SYDNEY, This Day. At international tennis, New South Wales defeated Britain by seven rubbers, 20 sets and 178 games, to five rubbers 16 sets and 171 games. Results: —
Singles. Collins (England) beat Willard: beat Austin: 6—2, 6-4; Gregory beat Hopraan: 6—B, 6—2, 6—4,
Doubles.—Kalms arid Willard beat Higgs and Collins; 7—5, 6—4, I—6, 5—7, '6—4, The weather was windy and cold. The best niatch was between Hopman and the British captain Gregory.' The latter’s smashing and volleying were forceful and clever. He made the game fast. Austin had an off clay and lacked vim. He is needing a spell.
Collins again proved solid and de termined. The New 'South ■ Wolsnlinen’s strength in the doubles, how ever, carried them to victory.
